Where are you?

Yes, we are still alive and well. But busy!! I am now back to work, and life just keeps moving on. I suppose that's a good thing.

It has been a long time since I've updated, hasn't it!?

Connor enjoyed playing soccer for TLO this fall. It is a 5th/6th grade co-ed team, but the 4th graders are invited to play if there are not enough players. They won the conference championship...and the second game of the playoffs was in the snow!
Elianna also played soccer this fall, but played in the community program. Jon was her coach for the 2nd year. She loved it! She too had a couple of games in the COLD and snow!

Truman is now 4 months old. He is a great baby. And pretty cute too :-)

Things are going pretty smoothly at our house. In fact, Jon and I are in New Orleans right now! His parents are staying with our kids this weekend. Thank you!! Jon is attending his annual work conference, and I am going to do a little sightseeing and relaxing. Our evenings are usually booked with different events that he is invited too, and I get to tag along.

My first observation when we got off the plane was that New Orleans has a lot more minivan and Suburbans as taxis than Seattle does! When we got off the airplane in Seattle and were going to go on the Alaskan cruise, we had 4 of us and a TON of luggage (before you had to pay for checked bags....) and had to wait a little while for a taxi that would fit everything. Here, you would have to wait for a car! Crazy.

I had my first experience of Bourbon Street yesterday. interesting. I am glad we don't have the kids with us here! We were so tired last night, that we didn't do a whole lot of exploring and experiencing of New Orleans. We felt a little old as we walked down the street ;-) I'll have to take some pics tonight, though.

I will try to do a better job of updating this blog. I know there are people who would like to see pics more often :-)
