Again I don't have any pictures....sorry!! We are on the farm again. That seems to be the only time I have enough down time to update. Hopefully that will change when the older kids go back to school!
There have been many prayers being lifted up over the past weeks for family and friends. Jon's cousin, Sean Gregg and his wife Heather Michelle (not to be confused with his sister, Heather Maria who lived with Kirsten for a year or so!) had a baby girl Jillian a few weeks ago. Baby Jilli was not gaining weight and when they brought her to the doctor to be checked out they found out that she has 2 holes in her heart. She will have to have surgery around 3 to 4 months of age to correct that. Jilli has to be on meds in order to help her keep her food down and help her gain weight. I added their blog to my bloglist if you want to keep updated on her progress.
Prayers are also going up for Rodney Lamfers. He and his wife, Kerry Bolkema, were in my class at Dordt. Rodney has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. He just finished his first round of chemo. He has a caringbridge site: www.caringbridge.org/visit/rodneylamfers
Truman was baptized on August 23rd. What a great day! He didn't even cry when Pastor Jack sprinkled him with water and got some in his eyes :-)
Connor and Elianna start school on Tuesday. It is hard to believe they will be 4th and 2nd grade already! Since I have off for 5 more weeks, I'll be able to drop them off the 1st day and stay for chapel.
Hopefully I will have more time to update this blog once the kids are in school!
We are looking forward to going to Lifelight, a free Christian music festival, in Sioux Falls on Sunday night. The kids love Newsboys! Hopefully they can stay awake for the 9:30 p.m. start time!
